On November 5-6 2024, CultTech Summit, a global startup conference focused on culture and technology, was held in Vienna, Austria. Shibuya Startup Support (SSS) participated as both a speaker and an exhibitor at the event.
2024年11月5・6日にカルチャーテックに特化したスタートアップカンファレンス「CultTech Summit」がオーストリアのウィーンにて開催されました。Shibuya Startup Support（以下、SSS）は、スピーカーセッションでの登壇やブース出展を行いました。

CultTech Summit
CultTech Summit is a new conference aimed at accelerating the sustainable growth of culturetech startups. 650 participants from over 35 countries were in attendance at the beautiful MuseumsQuartier venue.
As Austria is a hub for music and the arts, many participating startups focused on blending traditional arts with technology; offering innovative solutions for opera, museums, and more.
The lineup featured 70 industry speakers, including Mari Matsuzaki and Sayaka Nakashima from Shibuya Startup Support. They presented Shibuya’s initiatives to support creativetech and social impact startups.
「CultTech Summit」
「CultTech Summit」は、カルチャーテックスタートアップの持続可能な成長を加速させることを目的としたカンファレンスです。今回が初開催となり、35カ国以上から約650人が参加しました。
開催地であるオーストリアは音楽やアート産業のハブであることから、オペラやミュージアムなど伝統芸術とテクノロジーを融合したソリューションを提供するスタートアップが多く参加していました。スピーカーセッションでは70人が登壇し、SSSからは松崎と中嶋が、渋谷区におけるクリエイティブテックスタートアップおよびソーシャルインパクトスタートアップ支援の取り組みについて発表しました。

Culttech Accelerator Demo Day
CultTech Accelerator hosted a Demo Day during the conference, bringing together some of the world’s most promising culturetech startups. Early-stage culturetech startups often face challenges in securing funding and mentorship, making this initiative highly valuable in fostering growth and innovation within the sector. The CultTech Accelerator also offers an online mentoring community, allowing startups from around the world to connect with experienced advisors, making it a truly global support network.

「CultTech Summit」の開催期間中である2024年11月5日と6日に、Culttech Acceleratorが主催する世界中から注目されるカルチャーテックスタートアップによるピッチコンペティションとDemo Dayが開催されました。
アーリーステージのカルチャーテックスタートアップは、十分な資金支援やメンタリングシステムが整っていないことが多く、この取り組みはカルチャーテック分野の活性化に非常に意義のあるものでした。また、CultTech Acceleratorは、オンラインでメンターと相談できるコミュニティを提供しており、世界中のカルチャーテックスタートアップが参加できる仕組みが印象的でした。

Ars Electronica x CultTech Award
The Ars Electronica x CultTech Award recognizes innovative projects that drive social impact via the intersection of culture and technology. Now in its second year, the award attracted a diverse range of projects addressing some of the most pressing challenges in today’s digital landscape.
This year, Escape Fake was awarded first place for its unique approach to tackling misinformation through interactive storytelling and digital technology. Escape Fake received €10,000, complimentary tickets to the CultTech Summit, full coverage of travel and accommodation expenses, and an invitation to join the CultTech Accelerator.
「Ars Electronica x CultTech Award」
CultTech AssociationとArs Electronicaの共催により、文化とテクノロジー分野で最も社会的インパクトを与えるプロジェクトに対して賞が授与されるコンテストが開催されました。
優勝したプロジェクトには、10,000ユーロの賞金に加え、「CultTech Summit」への無料チケットや、参加にかかる旅費・宿泊費、さらにCultTech Acceleratorへの参加機会が提供されました。
今回で2回目の開催となった「Ars Electronica x CultTech Award」では、Escape Fakeが優勝を果たしました。Escape Fakeは、フェイクニュースなどの偽りの情報を現代人が暴く力を身につけられるよう工夫されたゲームで、ストーリーテリングやデジタル技術を駆使しています。このように、近年世界的な問題となっている課題の解決に取り組むプロジェクトが多数応募されたコンテストでした。
