From March 25 to 26, Shibuya Startup Support (SSS) participated in Takeoff Tokyo 2025, an English-language startup event held annually in Tokyo. On March 24th, the day before the main event, SSS hosted 10 startups from Berlin participating in the AsiaBerlin Expansion Lab, a program supporting German startups expanding into Asia.
SSS also organized the official Takeoff Tokyo Side Event: Community Gathering at Shibuya Bridge, bringing together domestic and international startup support organizations and entrepreneurs, offering the opportunity for Japanese and international startups and support organizations to connect.
Shibuya Startup Support（以下、SSS）は、2025年3月25日〜26日に東京で開催された、グローバル展開を目指す起業家向けのスタートアップカンファレンス「Takeoff Tokyo 2025」に参加しました。
また、イベント開催前日の3月24日には、ベルリン州政府が主導する、スタートアップのアジア展開を支援するプログラム「AsiaBerlin Expansion Lab」に参加したベルリン発のスタートアップ10社を迎え、SSSによるインフォセッションを開催。Shibuyaのスタートアップエコシステムや日本進出支援の内容について紹介を行いました。
さらに、3月27日にはTakeoff Tokyoの公式サイドイベントとして、「Takeoff Tokyo Side Event: Community Gathering」をShibuya Bridgeにて主催。国内外のスタートアップ支援機関やスタートアップが集い、国際的なネットワーキングと交流の場となりました。

Takeoff Tokyo 2025
This year, approximately 3,000 people participated in Takeoff Tokyo 2025. The event brought together entrepreneurs, investors, large companies, and students from around the world, with discussion panels featuring almost 60 entrepreneurs from Japan and abroad, offering a wide range of insights.
50 startups participated in this year’s pitch contest, with 40 investors serving as judges. For networking, there was a dedicated meeting area where startups and investors could engage in one-on-one discussions, and a mixer lounge for conversation between speakers and attendees. Both startups and large corporations set up booths, exhibiting solutions across a broad range of industries .
Exhibits from startups supported by SSS, such as Ringi, Polymerize, NERON Inc., and Yokaizen highlighted the increasing prominence of Shibuya-based startups.
Takeoff Tokyo 2025
Takeoff Tokyoは、世界中のスタートアップや投資家、大企業、学生などが集結する世界を目指すスタートアップのためのイベントで、今年は約3,000人が参加し、全編英語で行われました。
イベントのハイライトとしては以下の内容が挙げられます：
– 国内外からの50以上の起業家によるパネルセッション
– 50社のスタートアップによるピッチコンテスト（審査員として40名の投資家が参加）
– スタートアップと投資家が1on1で交流できるミーティングエリア
– 登壇者と参加者の距離が近いミクサーラウンジ
– スタートアップ・大企業による出展ブース
SSSが支援するスタートアップであるRingi、Polymerize、NERON Inc.、Yokaizenも出展。来場者に対して、Shibuya発のスタートアップの存在感を示しました。

Community Partner Session
On the second day of the conference, Shibuya Startups representative Yoshiro Tasaka joined the Community Partner Session panel, along with Venture Café Tokyo, CIC Tokyo, GIN Austria, and Ringi. The session explored the current state of Japan’s startup ecosystem and what it takes to thrive in a competitive global market.

イベント2日目の午後に行われたコミュニティパートナーセッションでは、シブヤスタートアップス株式会社の田坂氏登壇がVenture Café Tokyo、CIC Tokyo、GIN Austria、Ringiと共に、日本のスタートアップエコシステムの現状と、今後生き残るスタートアップの条件について議論しました。

AsiaBerlin Startups
The day before the main event, SSS welcomed 10 startups participating in the AsiaBerlin Expansion Lab, a program led by the Berlin State Government and managed by betahaus X and AsiaBerlin to support European startups expanding into Asia.
The SSS Community Team gave an overview of Japan’s startup ecosystem and the support services available in Shibuya, while the Visa Team also provided a detailed explanation of the SSS Visa Program, which helps foreign entrepreneurs establish their businesses in Japan. Existing startups supported by SSS shared their experiences starting and expanding businesses in Shibuya and Japan, offering insights into the challenges involved and lessons learned.
AsiaBerlinスタートアップ向けInfo Sessionを開催
イベント開催前日の3月24日には、ベルリン州政府主導の「AsiaBerlin Expansion Lab」に参加するスタートアップ10社を対象に、Shibuya Startup SupportによるInfo Sessionを実施しました。本プログラムは、betahaus XおよびAsiaBerlinによって運営されており、ヨーロッパのスタートアップがアジア市場へのスケールアップを目指すためのプログラムです。
Info Sessionでは、Shibuya Startup Supportのコミュニティチームより、日本や渋谷のスタートアップエコシステム、提供する支援プログラムについて紹介し、ビザチームからは海外起業家の日本進出を支援するSSSビザプログラムについて、申請条件やプロセスの解説を行いました。
さらに、Shibuya Startup Supportの支援を受けているスタートアップも登壇し、渋谷や日本での起業・事業展開の経験について、自身のチャレンジや学びをリアルな声で共有しました。参加者にとっては、日本市場における実践的な視点を得る貴重な機会となり、質疑応答では活発な意見交換が行われました。

Side Event: Community Gathering
As an official side event of Takeoff Tokyo, SSS hosted the Community Gathering, a casual networking event for entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem builders. It featured elevator pitches from startups, presentations by startup support organizations, and a networking session.
A highlight was the participation of around 10 startups from the Expansion Lab program, providing opportunities for interaction with the Japanese startup ecosystem. Event ambassadors, including representatives from the cities of Kobe, Yokohama, and Kyoto, as well as The Garrison, AsiaBerlin, and Ringi, helped create an engaging atmosphere that brought together a diverse range of ecosystem builders.
サイドイベントCommunity gathering開催
Takeoff Tokyo公式のサイドイベントとしてSSS主催で行なった、スタートアップ、投資家、エコシステムビルダー向けに開催したカジュアルネットワーキングイベント「Community Gathering」では、スタートアップによるエレベーターピッチや、スタートアップ支援団体によるピッチ、後半ではネットワーキングが行われました。特に注目されたのは、ベルリンからのデリゲーション「Expansion Lab」のプログラム参加スタートアップ約10社の参加。日本のスタートアップエコシステムとの交流の機会を創出しました。
イベントアンバサダーとして神戸市、横浜市、京都市、The Garrison、AsiaBerlin、Ringiが参加し、多様なエコシステムビルダーが集結する場となりました
