Startup Island TAIWAN is a startup ecosystem builder to introduce business resources providing for Taiwanese startups in Japan, Japanese startups, and business professionals building a closer-knit Taiwanese/Japanese community.
イベントでは、台湾の経験豊富なプロフェッショナルや日本の人材市場の専門家が参加し、国内のマーケットに関する知見や経験、ビジネス文化の違い、また台湾発企業の国内市場展開やリクルーティングに関する成功事例やトレンドに関するセッションが繰り広げられました。
On July 4th, Startup Island Taiwan organized a Community Gathering event that brought together the Taiwanese community in Japan, including experienced Taiwanese professionals, Japan talent market experts, leading startups from Taiwan, and startup ecosystem builders in Tokyo. The goal of this event was to bring different stakeholders together to grasp the unique cultural differences between Taiwan and Japan, business and talent best practices and trends, and meet future partners/members of their company.
渋谷区からは、Shibuya Startup Support（以下、SSS）メンバー、渋谷区 グローバル拠点都市推進室の田坂・瀬野・佐藤が参加し、日本進出に関心のある台湾の有力スタートアップ、コミュニティメンバーの方と積極的に交流を図りました。また、SSSスタートアップビザ担当のKangも登壇者として参加し、渋谷のスタートアップエコシステムやスタートアップビザ制度、渋谷区が起業家やスタートアップに提供するリソースやサービスについて紹介しました。質疑応答の時間も参加者による活発な意見交換があり、有意義な時間となりました。
Shibuya Startup Support (SSS) and the Shibuya City Global Hub City Promotion Office attended the networking event to meet with leading startups from Taiwan interested in Japanese market entry. SoMee Kang, Startup Visa Lead of Shibuya Startup Support, spoke about Shibuya’s startup ecosystem, Shibuya’s startup visa uniqueness as well as soft landing services that the City offers.
Engaging Q&A sessions and networking time followed and it was gratifying to see the interest shown by those who participated.

How was the event?
It was tremendous to be able to host this event with Shibuya Startup Support’s team. Also since our location was close to their office, it was to have the team’s support and great to finally meet many of the members of SSS who I have been video conferencing with since the early Covid period!
How do you see the future collaboration with startup communities in Japan and also Shibuya Startup Support?
For Taiwan and our organization Startup Island TAIWAN, Japan as a whole is a very important partner for the Taiwan Startup ecosystem and Shibuya Startup Support is definitely one of our longstanding partners. We have hosted and collaborated with them for both Online and Offline events to share each other’s offerings and opportunities. We look forward to reaching new heights of cooperation in the future.
